Give a Gift of Epek Love this Holiday Season

We are so grateful for the generous ways our friends and partners give their time, prayers, resources, and finances all year. Would you consider making a one-time gift this holiday season? It will be a gift that provides basic survival essentials (food, blankets, medical assistance, trauma healing), as well as job and skills training to Afghans in Afghanistan and Tajikistan refugee camps who are struggling to survive this winter.

Would you prayerfully consider a special gift or monthly partnership?

Epek’s Purpose is to Walk Alongside and Care for Afghans in Dire Need

Whether in their own country, or helping Afghans who have fled as refugees—Epek’s goal is to restore dignity, build hope, and provide opportunities for healthier, more promising futures for Afghan people. Because we are Afghan-led, we are able to navigate in ways to help, where other organizations have struggled and left.

2024 was a Year of Big Impact!

Stay tuned for details to come.

With your help we will continue to provide relief and hope for those in need.

We are so grateful—and the Afghan women, children, and families are so gracious and grateful. Thank you for helping us provide help and hope in a place where so many are struggling to survive and there is so much need.

If your heart is touched by our vision and impact, please consider becoming a monthly supporter of Epek work.

Today’s refugees.
Tomorrow’s leaders.

Our leader, Wakil, was himself a refugee. He and his family fled Afghanistan when he was a young boy and sought refuge in Pakistan. Years later, Wakil took a leadership position with a US-based nonprofit serving in Afghanistan and eventually moved his family to the United States.

Today he is a US citizen and founder and leader of Epek International, a growing and vital organization serving Afghans in Afghanistan and NYC. He spends about half his time in Afghanistan, traveling even during the Coronavirus pandemic to oversee critical projects.

Our Epek work truly does positively impact and transform lives and communities in ways that only an Afghan-led organization that understands the culture, specific needs, and challenges can do.

With the help of our partners and like-minded supporters, we will cultivate more healthy, vibrant, hopeful leaders—for a better future for Afghanistan and for our world.

A NOTE OF ENCOURAGEMENT

From a friend on the field:

Wakil,

I was in Afghanistan throughout 2011, specifically in Kabul, and with your leadership and coordination, our camp provided support to the Afghan people—especially the children. It was one of the highlights of my one-year in Afghanistan, as well as the highlight for many of the military members who served there.

I retired from the Navy in 2016 and am now a chaplain at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. I am pleased to see that you have established EPEK and will continue the ministry you have provided to the Afghan people.
— All the best and God’s blessings, Chaplain George
